Types of Containers

This additional height is useful for storing items that need more height or volume, rather than floor space for width. 

Additional internal height allows high cube shipping containers to have better storage, so they can facilitate transportation of large or bulky cargo including secure storage of mini diggers and tall machinery. 

Tunnel containers typically have two sets of standard double-doors, which make it easier for these types of containers to be used as personnel bridges. Additionally, they are ideal for storage due to both sides of the container being open through two sets of double doors. Therefore, items can be loaded and seen from opposing ends, making it easier to add or remove items from in and out of the tunnel shipping container.

Every panel of our tool shipping container is made with steel that is thicker than standard, measuring at 3mm in thickness. The locking system on our tool shipping containers is a triple threat - there’s a locking bar with a catch for a padlock, a lockbox and lock with a bolt. A lot of people use containers when their garden shed is simply not secure enough to store valuables, which is why more people are using tool storage containers to store their prized possessions.

The roof of an open top shipping container can come with a hard top or a soft top. A soft top is simply a tarpaulin cover but this only works when the cargo in question is not sticking up beyond the roofline. A hard top is a removable metal roof that allows for as much height as you need. 

They are usually the same size as standard shipping containers (20ft and 40ft lengths), however, flat rack containers have collapsible ends which are used to store and transport goods. 

The collapsible sides are useful for transporting bulky cargo, such as vehicles or machinery. As they have no roof, have open sides and collapsible ends, they can be loaded with a crane, unlike standard storage containers.

Refrigerated containers can maintain temperatures below 0°C; they can also hold a temperature of up to 75°C. Of course, this depends on what the container is storing and what temperature it needs to be held at. Most refrigerated storage containers are made from durable aluminum T-rail, and come with lockable cargo doors, making for easy access and easy handling of forklift traffic.
